On July 29, 1999 our family arrived in Sinaloa, Mexico to live among the Mayo Indian people, to learn a new language and a new culture, and to build relationships in order that we might serve our Lord Jesus Christ and see Him exalted through the proclamation of the gospel.
Today we celebrate fifteen years of experiencing God’s faithfulness to us and to His people here in this land that has become our home. Leaving our beloved Countryside family was very hard but through the years God has given us the joy of being a part of His growing family here among the people we love in the pueblos of northern Sinaloa.
We Praise our Sovereign Lord for all the joys as well as the many trials that have been granted to us through His providence which have been used for our growth and His glory! We also want to express our gratefulness to those of you who serve with us through your sacrificial and prayerful participation for God’s glory.
These past few months have provided us many opportunities in addition to our regular ministries, some of which included: Baptisms on Resurrection Sunday, Receiving visitors from Kansas (Travis & Phil) & Los Mochis (Fernando) to help with church building projects, Preaching and serving alongside Pastor Roger & Pastor Michael at the Countryside Teen Retreat in Colorado, Preaching in Arizona, Teaching on the Sovereignty of God at a youth camp held at a Bible institute in Mexico, Working alongside the men of our church in Mochicahui to continue building needed structures so that we can begin holding our service on the new property, Hosting an intern from Countryside (Michael D.) in our home for the past month. We are also enjoying having Chuy, Alejandro, and Brayan in our home for this next month.
Thanks for your continued prayers for us even over these past months while our communication has been more limited. We’ll hopefully be getting more correspondence out soon including more pictures. There will also be some videos from here presented at Countryside during the evening service on August 10th during a time of testimonies from those who have made recent visits to Sinaloa.
Your fellow servants in Sinaloa,
Brian & Danyel
