Recap: Seven Songs We Learned in 2010

In 2010 we learned seven songs as a congregation that we have been regularly singing on Sundays. It has been a blessing to learn these together, and we trust that they have enriched the worship at our church. Here are the songs in order that we learned them.

4. “The Wonder of the Cross” by Vicki Beeching
5. “Grace Unmeasured” by Bob Kauflin
6. “Jesus, I My Cross Have Taken” by Indelible Grace
7. “When Love Came Down to Earth” by Stuart Townend

Our desire is that these would not just be catchy melodies, but that the truth conveyed by these texts would arm us with a fresh understanding of God’s grace as well as a beautiful means of communicating praise and adoration to our Lord.

In 2011 we plan to continue teaching new songs to add to the rich collection of hymns that we use in worship. May God be glorified as we proclaim “the excellencies of him who called us out of darkness and into his marvelous light” (2 Peter 2:9).
