We are excited to announce CYGC 2017! The acronym stands for Countryside Youth Group Camp. Our theme this year is “God: Do You Know Him?” We will spend 5 days at a secluded camp in the mountains of Colorado to learn from God’s Word together. Our primary focus will be on the nature and character of God. Don’t miss out on this exciting chance to experience the power of God’s Word without the hectic distractions of our scheduled lives! This week will prove to be an important step in your walk that will affect you perhaps for the rest of your life.
Our morning sessions will be taught by Michael Dietzel. Michael has a passion for missions and holds degrees from Northland International University. He serves as a deacon at Countryside and is active in leading and teaching Greek in the Bible Institute. Michael is currently seeking God’s direction for his future as he feels called by God to be a pastor to those who are in places where the Gospel is not welcome. He earnestly desires to see people come to know Jesus and dedicate their lives to Him.
Our evening sessions will be taught by Pastor Bryan Neal. Pastor Bryan graduated from Citadel Bible College in 1986, after which he taught in Christian education in Pennsylvania and Kansas City. Shortly after moving to Kansas City, he served as an Air Traffic Controller for the Federal Aviation Administration for 23 years. He has been a pastor at Countryside Baptist Church since 2004 where he teaches, preaches, leads children’s ministry, Junior Camp, and serves as the Administrative Pastor. Pastor Bryan has an eager heart to help young people give their lives to Christ grow in their understanding of God’s Word. He and his wife Kathy love spending time with their daughters and grandchildren.
The cost is $270 per student. This includes travel fees, lodging, meals at the camp site, and all activities. Some additional cash will be needed for 4 meals on the road, gas station stops etc. Recreation at the retreat will include hiking, gym activities, basketball, volleyball, mountain biking, zipline, and much more.
