Sundays at 10:00 AM

Sunday School

Join us Sundays at 9:00 AM as we gather in smaller groups for Biblical teaching. We offer a general teaching session and classes for children, youth, young adults, and ladies.

Sunday Worship

Our Sunday morning service consists of a time of corporate worship through music, the public reading of Scripture, and an extended time of verse-by-verse exposition from a portion of God’s Word.

Small Groups

We meet regularly in home-based groups “to stir up one another to love and good works” (Hebrews 10:24). These are the context in which the body of Christ can practically care for one another.

Our Vision

Glorify God by participating in His mission of making disciples of all nations

We are guided by the Great Commission given in Matthew 28:16-20. We seek to be biblical in all we do, view people as a priority, use ministries to mature believers and evangelize the lost, and reproduce Christlike disciples, spiritual leaders, and biblical churches.

Girls Saturday Fellowship

We will be taking a break from our regular fellowship time this month for a fun movie night! All girls in the youth group (7th-12th grade) are invited to join us on Saturday, December 19th from 5:30-10pm at the church in the Commons. We will be watching the BBC version of Emma.

Please bring a snack to share, as well as pillows and blankets if you’d like. Contact Stephanie Johnson or Stephanie Yurosko with any questions (info in the directory).

Read Through The Bible 2021

Have you tried reading through the Bible in a year, only to get bogged down and quit? We have a new chronological reading plan that is designed to be more engaging and will help you get more out of every day’s reading. It will require about 15 minutes a day, and we have some tips and tricks to make it as easy as pushing a button. If you have a smartphone, the app will even read the Bible out loud to you! Click here to find out more about Journey Through The Bible 2021.

Special Evening Service

On Sunday December 6th JD Summers, pastor of Redemption Hill Church in Lawrence, will be teaching during our evening service on Critical Theory. This ideology is behind much of the changes we see happening in our society.

Cside Students Christmas Party

Students in grades 7-12 are invited to our annual Christmas party on Sunday, December 13th from 4-7:30pm. The party will be held in the Commons and dinner will be provided. Students may bring a homemade dessert for our dessert contest (optional). All students will need a small gift (valued at $5 or less) for our gift exchange. Contact Philip Johnson or a youth sponsor with any questions that you have.

Women’s Bible Study

Our Women’s Ministry is planning a 12-week Bible study focused on selected psalms, and all women are invited to participate!

We would love to have you join us at church on Thursday evenings, January 14-April 1, from 7 to 8:30pm, or Friday mornings, January 15-April 2, from 10 to 11:30am, or (new this semester) be connected with others who are unable to attend either of those classes. Please register for any of these three options here.

The study guides, Psalms, Volume 1: Songs Along the Way by Kathleen Nielson, may be purchased in the Resource Center after church on Sunday mornings, December 6-27. Please complete Lesson 1 before the first class. Because this study emphasizes Bible study skills more than our previous study, you will have a richer opportunity to grow in your ability to study God’s Word on your own!

Limited child care will be available during the Friday morning class. Contact Cheryl Frisch for details (info in the church directory).

New Bible in The Resource Center

We now carry two cover design options for the ESV Single Column Journaling Bible!

Ironmen Summit

On January 23rd a group of men from Countryside will be attending the Ironmen Summit in Emporia, KS. Registration is now open but will fill up fast. This daylong event costs $40 and includes breakfast, lunch, books, and three sessions geared toward equipping men. The theme this year is “endurance.” Space this year will be limited so sign up soon if you want to join us!

Please note that there will not be any COVID restrictions in the main auditorium but an area designated for masks only will be reserved for those who need to take special precautions. You can select your preference in the registration

The Resource Center has added a new devotional for your family to utilize this Christmas season. It is called “Repeat The Sounding Joy” by Christopher Ash and is a daily exposition of Luke 1-2. We will only carry this devotional for the month of November, so please stop by beginning November 1 to get your copy! If you have any questions, please see a Resource Center team member or contact Greg Blackburn, Director of Resource Center Ministry.

Video Team (Website)

The video team invites you to serve on a rotation to minister to people, both inside and outside Countryside. Our team benefits people in the Overflow Room, parents with small children, hearing and deaf, shut-ins, and many who are at home during COVID.

Tech experience is helpful but not strictly necessary. We will be glad to train you on how to choose camera angles, switch, record, and send to YouTube. More importantly, we get to share God’s Word and His Gospel through video.

Please prayerfully consider joining our team.

You can contact Mike Hoskins for more information. See the Cside directory for Mike’s contact information.
