College & Career Ministry
We strive to encourage our young adults to embody Christlikeness and develop lifelong leadership skills.The College & Career Ministry is a community of singles and newly-married couples who are committed to making disciples and growing spiritually. This mutual upbuilding takes place as we engage in the mission of the church alongside believers of all ages. Together we serve in the ministries of our church. Together we sit under the teaching and preaching of God’s Word. Together we meet regularly for prayer, Bible study and to spend time talking, playing games, or doing activities. College and Career is a fellowship of like-minded men and women encouraging each other to steward this independent and dynamic season of life to the glory of God.
What is College & Career?
College & Career is a peer-led ministry that serves post High-school young adults. There isn’t a specific age range that restricts this group. Rather, it is geared toward adults that share a common season of life - the college and career season. This ministry has functioned since 2003 with the goal of providing encouragement, community, and discipleship. We do not believe that young adults should be viewed as junior church members, nor is this group intended to function as an extension of the youth group.
Peer Led
The College & Career ministry is led by a leadership team of young adults, mirroring the leadership teams which serve our other adult ministries at Countryside. We do not have a separate Sunday school class because we believe it is healthy for Countryside’s young adults to mix in with other adults in the Adult Bible Classes and in various service ministries.
Discipleship
We recognize that college and career is a unique season of life that has special challenges and opportunities. There are certain topics that young adults are really interested in and certain areas of discipleship that are especially needed. We utilize seminars, retreats, and other offerings to address some of those topics in more depth. We also encourage Small Groups and discipleship relationships with mature believers as resources for walking through this growing season.
Community
Community is another important part of spiritual maturity for young adults. To provide a platform for community, the College & Career leadership team plans and hosts regular gatherings for young adults. Game nights, worship nights, book studies, volleyball nights, lunches in the park, service projects, painting nights, holiday parties, and conferences are just some of the opportunities provided to young adults at Countryside.
Activities
Testimony & Worship
Join us in gathering to praise God together. We will spend time in prayer, singing, and sharing testimonies of God's faithfulness. Testimony and Worship Nights are scheduled several times throughout the year and the dates can be found under the “Events” tab in the C&C GroupMe.

Get Involved
We don’t have formal membership, but anyone who wants to stay up to date on what is going on is encouraged to join the “Countryside College and Career” GroupMe. This is our primary source of communication, with tabs for events, service opportunities, prayer requests, and other resources for growth. We also post on a College and Career Instagram page and send out emails through Cside News.
