Get Connected
As followers of Christ, we are called to love, serve, and pray for one another. We seek to connect with one another as we grow together in our faith.Countryside is a Gospel-centered church in Overland Park, Kansas, a suburb of Kansas City. We preach the Bible, disciple believers, and promote Christ-centered community. We are located near the communities of Olathe, Gardner, Spring Hill, Edgerton, and Louisburg, along with many others.
Our belief is that being a member of the body of Christ goes beyond mere participation in our Sunday gatherings. True biblical fellowship flourishes within intimate spiritual connections. This vital element of church life enables individuals to engage in relationships that foster spiritual growth. To facilitate this, we provide various opportunities to meet fellow believers and get to know others.

Sunday Morning Worship Services
We gather together for corporate worship Sunday mornings at 9:00am and 10:45am. Both services are identical except ASL interpretation is only offered during the 10:45am service. Children ages 3-6 are invited to participate in Children’s Hour of Worship (CHOW).
Singing
Join us as we sing or sign traditional and contemporary worship music that exalts our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We seek to live out Colossians 3:16 by “singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in [our] hearts to God.“
Scripture Reading
Listen as the Word of God is read aloud by one of our pastors, for “faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” (Romans 10:17).
Expository Preaching
We seek to glorify God through the expository preaching of His Word. This verse-by-verse teaching allows us to better understand Scripture and apply it to our lives.
Sunday Evening Services
Our Sunday evening gathering is from 6:00-7:00pm and includes teaching by men preparing for pastoral ministry. Childcare is provided for children under 3, and several children’s ministries are available for older children and youth.
Power Pups
Power Pups is a class for 3 to 5 year-olds. We work on memorizing the books of the Bible through singing and written lessons. We teach the same lessons as Power Pack each week, but with a narrower scope.
Power Pack
Children 6-9 years old are welcome to join us for a class based on the truth of Romans 1:16. This is an original kids’ club developed by Countryside.
Junior Youth Group (JYG)
5th and 6th grade ghildren are invited to JYG which offers a smooth transition from Power Pack to the Youth Group. Through personal Bible study and Biblical instruction, children are encouraged in their spiritual growth and provided practical Biblical application for issues they can relate to their daily lives.
Newcomers
Once each quarter, we host a newcomers orientation to give those who are new to Countryside the opportunity to learn about our church. At this half-day Saturday seminar, you will meet our pastors and hear their testimonies as well as learn about our purpose, values, beliefs, and the many ministry opportunities available here to connect and serve. This is a great first step if you are considering Countryside as your church home.
The next Newcomers seminar is Saturday, November 4, from 10:00am to 2:00pm. A free lunch is provided.
Grow in Grace Together
Small Groups
We believe there is more to being part of the body of Christ than simply attending our Sunday corporate gatherings. Biblical fellowship is lived out in the context of intimate spiritual relationships. This essential aspect of church life allows each individual an opportunity to engage in relationships which promote spiritual growth. We offer a variety of smaller community groups that meet throughout the week. These home-based community groups are where we “stir up one another to love and good works” (Hebrews 10:24) and function as the context in which the body of Christ practically cares for one another. Small groups are such a vital part of ongoing discipleship that we believe every believer should be engaged in this essential ministry.

Break Bread Together
Fellowship Table Groups
Fellowship Table Groups are designed to foster relationships by connecting you around the dinner table with others in our church. Groups of eight meet for a meal once each month for four months. Each couple (or pair of singles) has the opportunity to host the group in their home or at a local restaurant.

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
– Colossians 3:15-16
